Through this blog, I hope to provide you interesting perspectives, information, and inspiration.
On a weekly basis, I find my own inspiration from leaders in the nonprofit field. If you don’t already follow this people, I would recommend that you check them out:
Veritus Group – Richard and Jeff are the masterminds behind this consulting group. They have a very active and thought-provocative blog. Interested in learning more about major gifts? What about a mid-level giving program? This is where you go.
Pamela Grow – Pamela has been named one of America’s top fundraising experts and fundraising blogs. Her “Grow Report” focuses on small development shops. As someone that’s been a part of one-stop-development-shops, I can’t recommend her enough.
Gail Perry – Gail is a veteran in the field. I heard her speak last year and she’s fantastic. Her blog has equally been recognized. Want to know what makes an event great? Gail is the party queen. Her saying is, “When in doubt, throw a party!”
Nonprofit with Balls – This weekly blog doesn’t hold back. Vu Le confronts some of the toughest topics in our field – basing pay on past salaries, difficulties with foundations, jargon, and the Oxford Comma (my personal favorite).
Bloomerang – Bloomerang combines their knowledge of donor databases with solid fund development principles. They cover topics such as donor retention and data mining. And they regularly offer FREE webinars lead by experts in the field!
Fundraising Grrl – When you need a laugh or need to vent, you turn to the Fundraising Grrl tumblr.
These are some of my favorite blogs. Who do you read?
